The default search function that Windows has to offer is not that reliable, especially when you have to locate something in a huge heap of files. If you want to keep your important files well organized, TagFlow is more than adequate for the job. It places a highly efficient tagging system at your disposal, which gives you the possibility of locating specific files instantly. You can find the data you're looking for by using all sorts of custom search criteria.

Downloading and installing TagFlow doesn't take more than a minute. It is compatible with all modern Windows platforms and it doesn't ask for any special tools or services. Also, you don't have to sacrifice a significant amount of memory or processing power to run the software.

The software can help you find your files instantly, but you will have to make a few quick preparations first. Before you can search anything, you must import your files into TagFlow's database. You can target individual files or entire folders. At this point, you can create one or more tags for the entire selection, but you can tag individual sub-folders as well.

With your files imported and tagged, you can just type one or more tag names and all files that have those tags will show up in a list, in the largest part of the interface. Additionally, you can search for files by type, date and size, by custom text and it is also possible to exclude specific tags. Once you type a tag's name or select a search criteria, the corresponding files will be displayed instantly.

Another useful feature is the possibility of adding new tags to individual files, directly in the files list. You only need to click an Edit button, type the name of one or more new tags and click a check mark to save your changes. Furthermore, files without tags, as well as recently added files and favorite ones can be displayed separately, by selecting the navigation tabs on the left side of the interface.
